Item Description: This is a rare and exquisite antique Limoges porcelain vase from the 1800's!!!
It features gorgeous handpainted pink wild roses with a spider web on one side (spider webs were considered good luck in Victorian times) and a scenic road with Autumn leaves and berries on the other side.
The handles are originally made to look like branches with butterflies and flowers on them. This is the first one I have found in a long time where the handles were not damaged!
The top is ruffled and scalloped. The top and edges of the butterflies & flowers on the handles are gilded. The gild appears to be completely intact too!
(This piece had been stored away for many years). And both sides are equally lovely and the color is actually a bit more vibrant in person.
The Martial Redon Limoges France Mark on the bottom dates it 1891 to 1896!!!
