This fabulous museum quality plate featuring the most exquisite hand painted cabbage roses, is signed by the masterfully talented artist,"G.Sykes".

This artist has a master cake plate shown in the 21 year old book, "The Decorative Art of Limoges" by Waterbrook-Clyde on page 115. (It only shows the master cake plate with one cup and saucer set).
It is marked with the Tresseman and Vogt Limoges France Mark 8 (T&V). This mark dates 1892 to 1907.

The edges of are gilded. The gild is 99% intact.
