This is a gorgeous antique W.G. and Co. Limoges porcelain handled candy tray with festive CURRANTS. It is signed by the artist on the back, "A.A. Harvey". This is one of my personal favorite molds! It has a beautiful hand painted gilded finial with a flower on it and raised floral detail at either end of the Victorian dish's mold. The edges are also gilded. Gild is 97% intact. It is marked with the William Guerin mark which dates it 1891 to 1932. Mary Gaston's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges" valued these trays at $275.00 to $325.00 (pg 142&143), in the year 2000.
