Item Description: GORGEOUS! For the violet lovers...they don't come prettier!
This is a unique and rare mold. It is a antique T&V Limoges porcelain tray with hand painted sprays of purple and white VIOLETS!! There is a beautiful array of background colors. Light pinks, blues, yellows and greens.
The artistic detail in the violets and foliage is superb and it is signed by the artist on the front, "A.Smith".
The original Tressemann and Vogt Limoges blank features detail near the scalloped edge. These areas are gilded. The gild does show some light noraml age wear.
It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt Limoges France Mark 10. This dates it 1892 to 1907.
