Item Description: ABSOLUTELY ETHEREAL!!!! This is a RARE gorgeous antique W.G. and Co. Limoges porcelain handled candy tray with beautiful waterlilies floating in the water. It exquisitely hand painted by the artist.
This is one of my personal favorite Victorian molds! To serve guests, you would simply put your forefinger through the loop and thumb on the floral finial.
It has a beautiful finial with a flower on it and raised floral detail at either end of the Victorian dish's mold. The edges and handle are gilded and the gilding is almost fully intact.
It is marked with the William Guerin mark which dates it 1891 to 1932. Mary Gaston's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges" valued these trays at $275.00 to $325.00 (pg 142&143), in the year 2000.
Size:11" x 6"
Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks. Light rub noted near the bottom on the raised relief. It is not readily noticable at all and does not detract from this beauty.
