Item Description: EXQUISITE! ETHEREAL! ELEGANT! EXCELLENT! For the ROSE lovers! It is so beautiful that it is hard to part with, I just don't have any more room to display this massive Limoges beauty. This set would be the focal point of a beautiful room. The roses are ethereal. The handpainting is of the finest quality. There is no better side to this set...it is gorgeous from all angles! Let's start with the punch bowl stand~ There are gorgeous pink cabbage roses on all sides. It is signed by the artist "J.Hopkins" on the side. The top (where the bowl sits shows normal wear. The original mold is detailed and exquisite. There are 2 very small holes near the top of the feet on opposite sides. These are not flaws, but were an intentional factory design to keep the stand from breaking during the firing process. It is marked with the Tressemann and Vogt Mark 10, which dates it 1892 to 1907. Size: 10 1/2" wide X 3 1/2" tall Condition: Excellent!!! Now for the punch bowl~ There are gorgeous pink cabbage roses painted on all veiws from the outside. The inside of the bowl features an elaborate gilded scrollwork pattern. It is signed and dated by the artist "H.Wakeman", 4,1905 (April 1905) on the bottom. It is also marked with the Tressemann and Vogt Mark 10, which dates it 1892 to 1907. Size: 13 5/8" wide X 6 1/8" tall Condition: Excellent~ I see only one small dot of missing gild. Note that the artists names are different on the pieces. Were they friends or relatives that painted this for a special event? A marriage of the pieces? Also the base of the bowl is slightly smaller than the top of the base(see pictures).
